This is our campaign image. Here we wanted highlight how everyone's story matters by saying "their, story, your story, our story" This also points to the idea of collective story and how while we all have our own story to tell, we are also apart of the collective story that is going on. This idea of collective story is also showcased in the newspaper background with a news paper that was from 1965 during the civil rights movement. Furthermore, we wanted to prompt the view with the question "what's yours?" so they don't just look at the image but think more deeply about it as well.
These are the required bookmarks as well as the collateral items we created for the campaign. We wanted to focus on writing tools that can be seen across generations so we included pens, pencils, and crayons.
Here is our t-shirt design. Our client enjoyed the newspaper print so much that they wanted it to be included on the t-shirt. This was where my team had to do some problem solving because the client wanted the newspaper all over but unfortunately because of the limited budget and the provided vendors not giving the option to do the service needed, we decided to go with a design that still had the newspaper that the vendors could do and stayed within the budget given by the client.
Below are a Gif as well as a video I created for the campaign. I don't have much background in After Effects but was able to teach myself within a few hours on how to animate the gif, as well as animate the handwriting shown on the video. The Gif was made for the header of the client's website and is meant to illustrate our concept of everyone having a story to tell and that the diversity in our stories can be shown through all the different handwriting because our handwriting is influenced by many different factors in our life. The same idea goes towards our video. This video was created to be shown on LCD screens across all the ASU campus for the digital part of the campaign.
